Calming strategies
Breathe deeply, in 1, 2….. out 1, 2 ……
Remind yourself to ‘keep calm’ ‘relax’
Remove yourself from the situation physically and emotionally if possible
Count to 10 (try backwards)
Go for a walk
Visualise yourself in a nice place
Remember life is unfair! At times….
Do yoga, meditation, swimming etc, exercise is good for de-stressing
Take up a hobby
Relax in a bath
Listen to music
Dance!
Laugh, have fun
Talk to someone…
